A master-planned golf community located 16.47 miles (26.5 kms.) from Cabo San Lucas along the Transpeninsular Highway. The first Koll International resort real estate venture in Mexico with the first golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus in Latin America, Palmilla has a territorial extension of 900 acres (364 hectares) and approximately 2 miles (3 kms.) of coastline. Originally developed by the Rodriguez family as an exclusive resort for sports fishermen in the 1950’s.
The 27-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus was fully completed in early 1999 with the operation of the last 9-holes identified as the “Ocean Nine”. Among the international awards granted to Palmilla: “The Most Refined Golf Real Estate in North America,” Gold Medalist (Golf Magazine), and rated as among the “100 Best Golf Resorts in North America” (Links Magazine).
Real estate development/inventory of residential home sites: Palmilla has thirteen residential sections to date: Bahia Roca, La Caleta, Caleta Loma, Palmilla Sur/Punta Bella, Palmilla Norte/Bahia Palmilla, Palmilla Canyon, Villas Oceano, Palmilla Estates, Palmilla Fairways, Las Quintas, Oceano Alta, Oceano Baja and Palmilla Cove, with a total inventory of nearly 290 residential home sites with 99.31% of the current inventory sold (equivalent to 288 lots) and 182 private homes fully completed or under construction. Since Oasis Palmilla is a Del Mar Development project, it has been included in the “Villas del Mar” section of this report. 284 iv.- Real estate development/inventory of villas/condominiums: Palmilla, as a master planned community, has two main villa developments within its premises with approximately 74 units, excluding Villas del Mar and neighborhoods.
