I can tell you why you should consider Cabo for a vacation, an investment, a place to live or retire.

Let me begin with a vacation. My story goes a little like this. I have fond memories of my first vacation – from what I can remember of it! I was a last minute replacement for a slow pitch ball tournament here in 1992. I was captivated by the relaxed fun approach the locals maintained and was envious of them. I confess upon my return I needed a vacation to recover from my adventure, but I was definitely coming back.

I lived in Canada which I found to be increasingly expensive and too uptight, for my liking. I realized that some things are meant to be taken seriously, however as the population aged and time passed, they became less tolerant of my behavior and something had to give.

It was becoming illegal to have fun for me. My haywire approach to life was beginning to catch up with me.

I was surprised that this place was not more populated based on its beauty and proximity to California State U.S.A. and the heavy populated southwestern United States. I learned over time that Mexican constitution did not allow foreign investment in these restricted zones until the 1970s.

In fact, Baja California Sur became a state on October 8, 1974. At that time you were able to get a Fideicomiso for 30 years. The reason I share this with you is that skeptics would believe that there is something wrong with the area. In actuality, the N.A.F.T.A. assured foreigners that they would have the security of a 50-year Fideicomiso renewable for the following 50 years. At that time foreign investment began to pour into the peninsula. The physical location, the weather, and the options of driving, flying, or floating to Cabo were all possible and the exploration began.

For investment purposes, I think it is hard to compete with the growth and concentration of wealth in this state. The evolution of doing business has led to many bilingual professionals assuring the foreigner that they are understood. There is a healthy demand for vacation properties as well as housing for our growing workforce in this society.

To live or retire in Los Cabos is attractive to those on a budget in comparison to costs in the U.S. and Canada. In addition, the great climate promotes an active society with many activities to keep you busy year around. You won’t be locked up here in the winter, that’s the time to get out and explore.

Now if you are interested in getting help paying for your Mexican property, you can begin by marking your calendar with the dates you would like to use your property. Your next move is to approach your friends and family convincing them that they need and deserve a tropical vacation. They will learn to enjoy the numerous activities and Cabos reputation, for tranquility and fun. Use the power of suggestion and send them here for Anniversaries, Birthday’s, Easter and Christmas holidays etc. When you have done selling them on a vacation, they will be yours. Jaja

We now accept flights from all over the world including Asia, Europe, and South America and all major cities in North America. With open arms and latin hospitality, we have grown to be a first class holiday destination and retirement choice.

When you have your calendar filled in with friends and family, it is time to go online and search for people and groups you think may be interested. Hit the travel sites with your incomplete calendar and offer them a commission to help fill in the blanks. You might consider trading places with others, who live in locations you have a desire to see and visit. It will expand your client list, and you should be able to convince them to come back once they have been bitten by the Cabo bug. With an aggressive plan you could potentially pay for your property in between 4 and 5 years.

A second approach could have you looking for a long term tenant to rent your place to assist in the costs of ownership. Focus on a professional working here, or companies that are breaking into the Cabo market. There are many professional people that have been transferred here to launch projects and introduce their products to this growing market.

The fact is, your home is built of concrete on a solid foundation of granite in a country that is rapidly evolving into a first world nation. With an increase in its education levels and a young population, the future looks bright for Mexico.
