As a fresh and exciting nucleus of culture and art in Los Cabos since the summer of 2013, Gala de Danza has brought together artists from around the world to help enrich the lives of young dancers and the Los Cabos community. Thus far, dancers, choreographers and musicians from 20 different countries have shared their talents in Los Cabos with our local community.

Each year, collaborations between talented artists continue to grow; Derek Hough (Emmy Award Winning choreographer, Dancing with the Stars), Sammy Hagar (Grammy Award Winner & Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Legend), David Lomelí (Placido Domingo’s protégé and gifted tenor), Jorge Viladoms (concert pianist and GQ’s Musician of the Year), Josie Walsh (Artistic Director of BalletRED and Joffrey Ballet School Los Angeles & San Francisco), Misty Copeland (principal with American Ballet Theatre), Ekaterina Kondaurova (principal with Mariinsky Ballet), Daniel Ulbricht (principal with New York City Ballet), Yulia Zagoruychenko & Riccardo Cocchi (Six-Time World Latin Ballroom Champions) and Youth America Grand Prix finalists, to name just a few! Gala de Danza believes in collaborations and diversity within all forms of the performing arts, giving way for the future development of a music and dance festival.

Gala de Danza Performance

This year’s efforts culminate on March 17, 2018 with an evening of performance from the glorious “anfiteatro” (amphitheater) of the future Viceroy Los Cabos resort, formerly Mar Adentro Cabos, that enjoins the blue horizon to reflecting pools beside the Sea of Cortez. The technical artistry of Quixotic’s video mapping, the generosity of the local community of Los Cabos, and talents of both the global artists in residence and budding aspirants to artistic expression will all be on thrilling display in this inspiring locale.

Ticket purchase and accommodation arrangements can be made HERE.

The event also serves to raise funds for the non-profit organization, Danza que da Esperanza (“Dance that Gives Hope”), an educational program with its own cultural space, where children and adolescents can exploit their artistic side. This institution will grant scholarships to low-income youngsters to fulfill their dreams and achieve positioning on international dance platforms.

2Seas Los Cabos / Christie’s International Real Estate, a leader in Cabo real estate, hopes you’ll join this splendid event in support of such a dazzling, global event central to the burgeoning arts scene of Los Cabos!
